As I normally eat a healthy diet, this Alex Levin quote made me laugh. “Only Irish coffee provides in a single glass all four essential food groups: alcohol, caffeine, sugar and fat.”
Today is St Patrick’s Day so I thought why not, I’ll have myself an Irish coffee.

The Cake Cafe, in the eco-friendly Daintree building, is slightly off the beaten track. First find the Daintree paper shop on Camden Street, walk through the shop and exit by the rear door into a bamboo fringed alleyway, when you emerge you will see The Cake Café.
I heard of the ‘list of favourite things’ concept a few years ago. It works like this. Without thinking too hard, write down twenty-five (fifty if you like) things you really love to do. Surprisingly, when you read the list back, you will find that most of the things you really like to do are either free or cost very little money.

I wager that even the fashion forward among you don’t know that Hermès do coffee. Well, er, they don’t actually produce coffee. They do however have a café in their bright airy new Parisian Left Bank shop, on the Rue de Sèvres.
