Oops! It’s been a while since my last blog post.
That’s because I have been an attendee at an unwished for stress festival. Now, in truth I don’t usually have an unruly amount of stress in my life. Worry, yes, as I can worry ad infinitum. Mostly about things that will never happen. And, yes, I know that’s a waste of time and an energy drainer but knowing doesn’t stop me doing it.
And that stress fest I mentioned. Well, recently a couple of things that needed to be sorted out or just simply done arrived together like a string of overdue buses. None of them were major but still and all for a while I felt as if I was trying to un-scramble eggs so I could put them back in their shells.
Everything is now almost sorted. Praise be! But something had to fall by the wayside and it was the blog.
As I didn’t have a quote I liked about stress I though I should find one. Here it is:
“The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another.”
William James (1842 – 1910) philosopher, psychologist and brother of novelist Henry James
I’ll be back properly this weekend.
Take your time, B.! I worry about things that do not happen too and I know how you feel like! Thank goodness, Stefano is very rational and he is able to help me with my anxiety … most if the time! 🙂
Thank you so much Francesca, that’s kind. 😉 I really appreciate your empathy. I am pleased (for you) that Stefano is able to help with your worry. Bxxx
It is the most beautiful de-stressing photo 🙂 I know all too well how possible it is to get ragged over not very much.
Thank you, there is, I think, something totally de-streessng about the sea. Yes, it’s amazing how little things can throw us off course. Maybe a case of the proverbial straw that breaks the camel’s back. 😉
A string of overdue buses that then preceded to run you over, by the sound of it. A lovely calming image, though. 🙂
Now that’s an image to conjure with, It made me laugh which is a good thing. 😉
Ooops…how about proceeded! I must be stressed, too.
I hope you are not too stressed. 😉 I hadn’t notice the pre instead of pro …
I don’t feel particularly stressed but I am doing a number of odd things which would suggest that I am!
I hope that calmness returns swiftly. The photo is beautiful 🙂
Thank you so much. And the calmness is on its way back … 😉
Keeping fingers crossed for you to sort everything out!
Thank you so much.
Your lovely picture is so serene – that’s a very good thing!
Thank you. I always find there is something calming about looking at the water.
Your life sounds like mine of late. Here is to less stressful days ahead for us all.
Hello Karen, I will most definitely second that. Here’s to calmer waters ahead. 😉
