I write like a very famous literary figure. Fear not readers I have not severed all connection with my sanity but I did put one my blog posts through the I Write analyzer (which I found via Metropolitan Mum’s blog) and it declared I write like Edgar Allen Poe! You can try out the I Write analyzer if you click here. It’s a bit of fun – as your writing is ‘analyzed” in just a few seconds it’s obviously not to be taken madly seriously.
On a different note, I came across this quick test for empathy in this Sunday’s Telegraph. According to the article written by Daniel H Pink “this seemingly innocent parlour trick is actually a method social scientists have used for more than a decade to measure perspective-taking – the ability to step outside one’s own experience and see the world from someone else’s viewpoint”. Here’s how to take the test; extend your right forefinger and then use it to draw a capital E on your forehead. If you write the E, so it is legible to another person and not backwards to the person looking at it, you have taken into account another’s perspective and ergo are empathetic. Bye for now, talk to you soon.
Apparently, I write like H.P. Lovecraft, whom I know nothing about. Will have to check him out.
Hi Eileen and thanks for your comment, I have no idea who H. P. Lovecraft is either so will have to look him/her up too. Bx
